The purpose of our internship was to optimize labs for use in high school settings. The first lab we completed this summer was the salinity lab. This lab is already used in the Bellevue School District, so we ran the lab to gain experience and background knowledge about Halobacteria. After the Salinity Lab we ran a lab to study the differences among Halobacteria grown anaerobically, aerobically, in the light, and in the dark.
